Use AI Studio
Start a Studio conversation with Marve and ask for insights or audiences.
Use Studio to ask Marve questions about your data, generate charts, create audience suggestions, and refine your request in the same conversation.
Prerequisites
Before you start:
- Confirm that Studio appears in the left sidebar.
- Set up AI Studio for at least one Dataset Group.
- Add standing context in Context Manager, especially definitions and exclusions.
Open Studio
- Sign in to GrowthLoop.
- Click Studio in the left sidebar.
- Select the Dataset Group you want Marve to use.
- Review the included context control to confirm whether documents are available.
- Enter your prompt.
- Click Send or press Enter.
Use Shift + Enter to add a new line in your prompt.
Start with a clear prompt
For best results, include the business goal, target audience or data question, important signals, and timeframes.
| Weak prompt | Stronger prompt |
|---|---|
| "Find customers who might churn." | "Find Enterprise customers who have not logged in for 30 or more days, opened a support ticket in the last 14 days, and have not expanded seat count in the last 90 days." |
| "Show me purchase trends." | "Show monthly purchase trends for loyalty members in California over the last 12 months, broken down by product category." |
| "Make an upsell audience." | "Generate an audience of active customers on the Basic plan who used collaboration features at least three times in the last 30 days and have no open renewal risk." |
Work with results
Marve can return several kinds of output:
| Output | What to do next |
|---|---|
| Answer | Review the explanation and ask follow-up questions in the same conversation. |
| Table | Check the columns, counts, and caveats before using the result in a campaign decision. |
| Chart | Use the chart to compare trends, cohorts, or categories, then ask Marve to dig into the most important pattern. |
| Audience suggestion | Open the suggestion in the audience builder, review the filters, check the count, and save the audience when it matches your intent. |
NoteMarve can make mistakes. Always review counts, filters, joins, and field meanings before you save or export an audience.
Start from Audiences
You can also launch AI Studio from audience creation.
- Click Audiences in the left sidebar.
- Click New Audience.
- Choose Build with AI Studio.
- Describe the audience you want to build.
- Review the generated audience in the audience builder.

Refine without starting over
When the first result is close, add a specific follow-up instead of restarting the conversation.
| Instead of | Say |
|---|---|
| "Try again." | "Narrow this to customers with an active paid subscription in the last 60 days." |
| "Make it smaller." | "Exclude customers whose renewal date is more than 180 days away." |
| "That's not right." | "The segment is too broad. Add a filter for customers who used the product at least three times in the past 30 days." |
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to do |
|---|---|
| The send button is disabled | Select a Dataset Group and enter a prompt. |
| No context appears | Add documents in Context Manager. |
| The answer uses the wrong definition | Add the definition to Context Manager, then correct Marve in the current conversation. |
| The audience is too broad or too narrow | Ask Marve to add, remove, or adjust one specific filter. |
| A field or join seems wrong | Check the dataset configuration and ask Marve which fields or joins it used. |
Congratulations! You are ready to use Studio with Marve. Next, learn how to explore data and generate audiences.
