Health Checks

Learn how to monitor the freshness and reliability of your data in GrowthLoop.

Introduction

As a marketer, the accuracy and freshness of your data is crucial - it’s what powers effective segmentation, personalization, and campaign timing. Unfortunately, more often than we’d like, the data you rely on is stale or incomplete, and you don’t find out until it’s too late. The impact? Wasted budget, missed opportunities, and silent campaign failures.

Here are a few common nightmare scenarios:

  1. Paid Media Waste: Imagine you’re using a customer list to suppress existing customers from receiving ads. If that list hasn’t updated in 7 days, you’re wasting ad dollars showing ads to people who became customers a week ago.
  2. Missing the Moment: You’re trying to cross-sell based on a customer’s recent purchase. But if the purchase data hasn’t updated in days, you miss the critical window when the customer is most likely to engage.
  3. Silent Campaign Failures: What if your onboarding or triggered campaigns rely on a dataset that suddenly stops updating—and no one tells you? You only find out days later when emails stop sending and you have to scramble to diagnose the issue.

If you’ve been in marketing long enough, you've probably experienced one (or more!) of these. But here's the good news - these are all avoidable.

That’s why we built GrowthLoop Health Checks - think of it as a data insurance policy for marketing teams. GrowthLoop continuously monitors every dataset connected to your account and automatically keeps an eye on every live audience export. If any dataset stops updating or gets dropped, you’ll be proactively notified, so you can take action before your campaigns are impacted.

How GrowthLoop Health Checks Work

  • GrowthLoop monitors all connected datasets in your Data Cloud for updates.
  • Any live, exporting audience relying on those datasets is also monitored.
  • If a dataset stops updating, both the dataset owner and audience owner will be notified.
  • This keeps Data teams and Marketing teams aligned, ensuring your campaigns run on fresh, reliable data.
