Connect this destination to export audience membership as a Rokt custom audience, for use when you target or suppress checkout offers.

This destination writes to your Rokt account and is a good fit when you want to:

To send conversion events, use Rokt Conversions. Do not use an audience export to send conversion events.

Prerequisites

Make sure you have:

A Rokt account. The Rokt user must be an Editor with permission to create and manage campaigns and calendars.

Your API Key. Ask your Rokt account manager for this value.
Your Account ID. In my.rokt.com, open the account you will connect. The ID is the number after my.rokt.com/accounts/. For https://my.rokt.com/accounts/1324473528547594749/new-campaign/campaigns, the Account ID is 1324473528547594749.
An App Id and App Secret. In Rokt, open your profile in the bottom left, then generate credentials under Generate Personal API Credentials. Name the app something like GrowthLoop. Copy the secret now. Rokt shows it only once.

Set up Rokt as a destination

In GrowthLoop, click the Destinations tab on the left sidebar.
Click New Destination in the top right corner.
Search for Rokt and click Add Rokt.
Enter the required information, then click Create.

Field	Description
Destination Name	Name this destination in GrowthLoop. Use a name so your team recognizes its purpose, like "Rokt Ads".
Sync Frequency	Set the default export frequency (for example, daily or weekly). You can override this setting for individual exports.
Account ID	Rokt account number from the platform URL.
API Key	Custom audience API key from your Rokt account manager.
App Id	Personal API App Id you've created in Rokt profile settings.
App Secret	Personal API App Secret from Rokt profile settings.

GrowthLoop validates the connection. Rokt then appears in your list of connected destinations.

Export to Rokt

From within GrowthLoop, export from an audience or from a journey Destination Node. See Export an audience or Build a journey if you need more information on these steps.

After building or selecting an audience, click Export, then search for Rokt. In a journey, add a Destination Node under Ads and select Rokt.

Map contact identifiers

On an audience or in a journey Destination Node, map Email. This field is required.

Send a plaintext email, or a value that is already MD5 or SHA-256. GrowthLoop detects the format and does not hash plaintext emails.

This destination does not send additional personalization fields.

Configure the export

This is where you set the campaign type and schedule for audience exports. On a journey Destination Node, you set timing on the journey canvas.

Setting	Audience export	Journey Destination Node
Export Name	Defaults to the audience name. That is the Rokt custom audience name unless you change it.	Required. Enter a name so you can find the export in GrowthLoop and the audience in Rokt.
Campaign type	Choose a one-time or ongoing export.	The journey schedule controls when the journey runs and contacts are sent to Rokt.
Export Inclusion Criteria	All audience members for a full refresh, or Newly added audience members for additions and removals since the last export.	The journey sends contacts who reach this node.
Schedule	Set frequency, start date, end date, and days of the week for ongoing exports.	Users reach this node when the journey runs. Add a Delay Node or set Criteria Evaluation to control timing.

Export behavior

This is what GrowthLoop writes when you export an audience.

Behavior	What happens
What GrowthLoop writes	A Rokt custom audience. Direction is GrowthLoop → Rokt.
When it runs	GrowthLoop sends the export as a batch on the next successful run. An export that starts Now runs within about 15 minutes. Journeys send exports on demand when users reach the Destination Node.
Audience	GrowthLoop writes to a custom audience named after the export. Later runs reuse that name.
Match field	Email. Plaintext, MD5, or SHA-256.
Adds	GrowthLoop includes those emails on the custom audience.
One-time exports	GrowthLoop sends current membership once, or the additions and removals since the last export if you chose that inclusion setting.
Ongoing adds and removals	Ongoing exports add contacts who enter the audience and remove contacts who leave that custom audience.
Deletes	GrowthLoop does not delete the Rokt custom audience.

Confirm the export was successful

When the run finishes, confirm you can use the data in Rokt.

Audience export: Select the connected account, open Campaigns → Custom Audiences, and look up the audience name unless you changed Export Name.
Journey Destination Node: Open Campaigns → Custom Audiences and look up the custom audience named after the export.

Connection fails to validate	API Key, App Id, App Secret, or Account ID is wrong	Confirm the API key with your Rokt account manager. Generate new App Id and App Secret if you no longer have the secret
Custom audiences are rejected	The Rokt user is not an Editor, or campaign and calendar permissions are off	Use an Editor user with permission to create and manage campaigns and calendars
Rows fail to export	Email is not mapped, or the value is not a valid email, MD5, or SHA-256	Map Email and send a plaintext email or a hashed value
You cannot find the audience	You are in a different Rokt account, or the export is still running	Select the connected account and search Custom Audiences for the export name
