Composable destinations overview

Trigger campaigns and use GrowthLoop Content, External Content, or Campaigns in supported external engagement platforms.

Composable destinations let you trigger campaigns from a GrowthLoop journey while using content that lives in GrowthLoop or in a connected marketing platform. Use them when you want GrowthLoop to orchestrate who enters a campaign and the destination platform to execute the send.

Composable destinations replace the earlier Composable Campaigns model with the full Engagement Suite flow: create or select content, publish when needed, map fields, trigger the campaign, and measure results from the journey.

How it works

  1. Connect the platform under Destinations with the required credentials.
  2. In a journey, add a Destination node and select that connection.
  3. Choose a campaign action such as Send Email or Send SMS.
  4. Open the content picker.
  5. Select GrowthLoop Content, External Content, or Campaigns.
  6. Complete match fields, personalization fields, and any platform-specific publish settings.
  7. Click Save.

GrowthLoop controls journey entry and field mapping. The destination platform executes the send when you trigger a platform campaign. GrowthLoop sends the message when you use GrowthLoop Email or GrowthLoop SMS.

Supported platforms

Composable campaign triggers and content picking are available for major engagement platforms, including:

  • GrowthLoop Email and GrowthLoop SMS
  • Iterable
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Platform-specific setup steps live in Destinations and the Integration Guides.

Key concepts

ConceptDescription
Campaign triggerJourney destination action that launches a send or campaign in the destination, not only list membership.
GrowthLoop ContentTemplates in Content Studio. For supported external engagement platforms, GrowthLoop can publish this content into the destination before using it. For GrowthLoop Email/SMS, content stays in GrowthLoop.
External ContentTemplates that already live in connected external destinations. GrowthLoop reuses the template and creates the needed campaign or journey artifact when the platform requires one.
CampaignsExisting platform campaigns or journeys. GrowthLoop reuses the selected campaign and does not create a new one.
Publish settingsOptions shown before GrowthLoop publishes content into a destination, such as content name, campaign name, subject line, and platform-specific fields.
Native badgeLabel for content created in GrowthLoop.
External badgeLabel for content sourced from a connected destination.

Content picker options

Use the content picker to choose how the journey should source creative:

  • GrowthLoop Content - Select templates created in Content Studio, then use them directly or publish them into the destination
  • External Content - Select templates that already live in connected external destinations
  • Campaigns - Select an existing platform campaign or journey

Use search and source filters to narrow the list. Source filters help you focus on a specific destination when your team has multiple content sources.

Publishing GrowthLoop Content

When you publish GrowthLoop Content into a destination, GrowthLoop creates the required platform artifact and links it back to the Content Studio item.

Typical path from a journey Destination node:

  1. Open the template or campaign field.
  2. Click Pick from library.
  3. Open GrowthLoop Content.
  4. Select the template.
  5. Click Publish and use.
  6. Complete Publish settings.
  7. Click Continue.

If a platform artifact returns as pending, use Refresh to check for the latest status before finishing the node configuration.
