Content Library overview
Create and manage reusable email and SMS templates, assets, and AI variants in GrowthLoop’s Content Library.
Content Library is where you build and manage the creative assets Engagement Suite uses across journeys. In the app, open it from the left sidebar as Content Library.
Use Content Library when you want GrowthLoop-authored email or SMS templates, shared media assets, or a parent template that can generate AI variants for decisioning.

How it works
Content Library has two tabs:
- Content — Reusable email and SMS templates (and related campaign instances after you publish).
- Assets — Images and other media you use inside templates.
Templates can be authored for GrowthLoop Channels or published into composable destinations such as Iterable and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. When you build a journey Destination node, Content Library items appear under Local content in the content picker.
Key concepts

| Reusable template | A template you create once and reuse across journeys and campaigns. |
| Local content | Content stored in GrowthLoop’s Content Library and selectable in a journey. |
| Destination content | Templates that live natively on a connected platform and are synced into the picker. |
| GL creative variables | Special tokens (for example {{gl_creative_headline}}) that mark parts of a template for AI variant generation. |
| Variant | An AI-generated version of a parent template, shown with a Variant badge in Content Library. |
| Lifecycle status | Draft, approved, active, or archived status for filtering and managing templates. |
What you can do
- Create email templates with the GrowthLoop email editor
- Create SMS templates with the SMS editor
- Upload assets for use in creative
- Generate AI variants from templates that include GL creative variables
- Publish templates into connected destinations from journeys
NoteContent Library templates are different from audience export templates, which control how audience fields are mapped on export.
