Microsoft Curate
Learn how to send GrowthLoop customer audiences to Microsoft Curate
In this guide, we'll walk through connecting Microsoft Curate to GrowthLoop and exporting customer email audiences.
NoteXandr Customer Match is a pre-release capability. The API and product behavior may change.
Requirements
Before creating the destination, confirm that you have:
- A Xandr API username and password.
- The numeric Xandr Member ID that owns the segments.
- Permission to share the customer data with Xandr. Do not upload data obtained from data brokers or web scraping, sensitive personal information, or information from people who have opted out of sharing.
- A GrowthLoop audience with at least 100 email rows in each export batch. Xandr currently rejects files with fewer than 100 data rows, even though the early Customer Match documentation describes a smaller minimum.
Customer Match audiences are available for targeting in Invest and Curate campaigns. They are not supported in Monetize.
Set up the destination
-
Select Destinations from the left rail of GrowthLoop.
-
Click New Destination.
-
Search for and select Microsoft Curate.
-
Enter the following credentials:
- Xandr username: Your Xandr API username.
- Xandr password: Your Xandr API password.
- Member ID: The numeric Xandr member that owns your Customer Match segments.
- Membership expiration days: The number of days a matched email remains in the segment. The default,
-1, means no expiration.
-
Click Create.
Export an audience
- Open an audience and click Export.
- Select Microsoft Curate.
- Map the source email column to the required Email match field.
- Choose a one-time export or an ongoing sync and click Export.
GrowthLoop creates an active Xandr segment with object_type set to customer-match for the GrowthLoop audience. It sends CSV files to the Xandr Customer Match API. Each row contains:
- A SHA-256 email hash.
IdType=email.- The Xandr segment ID.
Action=1for additions orAction=0for removals.- The configured expiration value.
Before uploading, GrowthLoop lowercases each email, trims whitespace, removes characters other than letters, numbers, ., @, and -, and then computes SHA-256. Duplicate rows should be removed upstream to keep files smaller.
Xandr reports Customer Match membership in the UI and makes it available for targeting within 48 hours of upload. Reach metrics are estimates based on auction data and may not be available for a new segment immediately.
Privacy and support
Xandr respects user opt-outs. GrowthLoop does not expose hashed email values in log-level attribution data; reports contain the targeted segment ID instead.
During the early-access period, hashed-email requests to the Xandr Privacy Service API are manually processed. Contact your Xandr account manager for those requests.
