Note

Voyado Syncs update contact attributes on contact profiles. They do not add or remove contacts from audiences using comma-separated membership logic. To manage audience membership with add/remove behavior, export an Audience to the Voyado destination.

Prerequisites

Before you create a Voyado Sync, make sure you have:

  • A configured Voyado destination in GrowthLoop.
  • A Dataset that contains the customer fields you want to sync.
  • A stable identifier field, such as email or memberNumber, that can match records from your warehouse to Voyado contacts.
  • Any custom contact attributes you want to update already created in Voyado Engage. GrowthLoop does not create custom attributes in Voyado for you.

Destination fields

GrowthLoop provides a list of common Voyado contact fields in the Sync mapping UI, including:

  • email
  • mobilePhone
  • externalId
  • memberNumber
  • firstName
  • lastName
  • street
  • zipCode
  • city
  • country
  • gender
  • birthDate
  • preferredLanguage
  • growthloopaudience

For tenant-specific custom attributes, type the exact attribute name in the Destination field when mapping. The name must match the attribute as it exists in Voyado Engage.

📘

Audience attribute behavior

If you map growthloopaudience in a Sync, GrowthLoop overwrites that attribute with the synced value. Audience exports use different logic: they add or remove audience names from a comma-separated list on the contact. Use audience export for membership; use Sync when you want to set a specific attribute value from the warehouse.

  2. Click Create Sync in the upper right corner.

  4. Click Save Sync.
  5. Add field mappings for the contact attributes you want to sync:
    1. Under Source, select a column from your Dataset.
    2. Under Destination, select a Voyado contact field or type a custom attribute name.
    3. Click Add Mapping for each additional contact attribute.
  6. Confirm that at least one contact identifier is mapped (email, mobilePhone, externalId, or memberNumber).
  7. Click Update Sync.
  8. Choose whether to apply the changes to future updates only or backfill existing synced records.
  9. Turn on the Sync using the toggle at the top of the page.

Verify your sync

After the Sync runs, open Voyado Engage and search for a contact you expected GrowthLoop to update. On the contact profile, confirm the mapped attributes contain the values sent from your warehouse.

Congrats on successfully creating a Voyado Sync!
